The picturesque town of Brunico – the main town of the Val Pusteria

Brunico is the main town of the Val Pusteria and is only a few minutes drive from Hotel Egitzhof. The fractions of Brunico are S. Giorgio, Stegona, Villa Santa Caterina, Lunes, Ameto, Teodone and Riscone. To the north-east Brunico is surrounded by the Vedrette di Ries Mountain Group and to the south by Plan de Corones. Thanks to the central position this town was also the economic and cultural centre of the Val Pusteria in ancient years. Today, this town is a very popular tourism destination. The picturesque old town with the wonderful gazebos and the historic shopping street are ideal for strolling around. You should definitely visit Brunico Castle, the Town Museum and the many churches.
