The Dolomites in South Tyrol – unique natural scenery

The probably most well known mountains in South Tyrol are the Dolomites. Here in Val Pusteria you can experience these unique and breath-taking mountains in all their beauty. Nowhere else will you find green alpine pastures and steep rock walls as close together.

The Dolomites are named after the French geologist Déodat de Dolomieu. In ancient years the Dolomites were also called the "Pale Mountains". The highest elevation is Marmolada Mountain with 3,342 metres of height. Other renowned massifs are the Three Peaks in the Sesto Dolomites, the Sella, Catinaccio, Sciliar, the Geisler Mountain Group and the Sasso Lungo Mountain. In 2009 the Dolomites were declared a World Natural Heritage site by UNESCO.

The numerous hiking paths, cycling routes and ski resorts can be easily and quickly reached from the hotel and guarantee for an adventurous and varied holiday in summer and winter.
